Junior Achievement's unique delivery system provides the training, materials, and support necessary to bolster the chances for student success in the three pathways of financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship. The impact is measurable, too - survey results prove that JA is preparing students to develop successful financial management habits, empowering them to explore the potential of becoming an entrepreneur, and providing them the skills necessary to succeed in a global economy. Traditional & In-Class
JA’s Traditional and In-Class programming is volunteer-driven and provides a basis of financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship education for students K-12. JA Finance Park Virtual
JA Finance Park helps students build a foundation upon which they can make intelligent financial decisions that last a lifetime. The program is composed of 13 teacher-taught lessons and culminates in a hands-on simulation that can be implemented virtually. Click here to learn more.
JA BizTown & JA BizTown Adventures
JA BizTown is available to students in grades 4-6 and consists of a comprehensive in-class curriculum that teaches valuable life skills that are at the core of all JA programming. The Junior Achievement Career & Work Readiness Hub matches industry partners and their employees with classroom volunteer opportunities to engage with students in career exploration visits.
Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge
A partnership with the Brees Dream Foundation, the Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge gives entrepreneurial high school students a shot at up to $15,000 in scholarships. Students create and develop a Crazy Idea and pitch to a panel of judges in this Shark Tank-style competition, going up against students from communities across Louisiana. Click here to learn more.
